Have a question before booking online?

 FAQs

  • Clients who wish to book an appointment online are required to leave a credit card on file in Philosophy’s secure booking and electronic medical records system called Jane.app.

For more information on the security features employed by Jane.app, please visit here.‍

Please Note: Philosophy will only charge the credit card on file if a client has asked their service provider to clear their invoice using the credit card on file; the client has been invoiced and does not pay the invoice within 7 days; or, the client late cancels or no-shows to an appointment (see cancellation policy).

  • For your convenience or to avoid leaving a credit card on file, you may choose to book sessions by contacting your service provider directly and paying for the services in advance via e-transfer.

  • We ask that you cancel or reschedule your appointment at least 24 hours in advance so that someone else can take your place.

Cancellations must be made through our online booking portal or by contacting info@philosophywellness.ca.

Last-minute cancellations will be required to pay the full, regular cost of the service, as booked.

  • After each session, an electronic invoice will be sent to your email address. Online payment can be made by clicking the link at the bottom of the electronic invoice. Payment options include:

    • E-TRANSFER

    • VISA

    • MASTERCARD

    • AMERICAN EXPRESS

    • VISA DEBIT

If you are having trouble making a payment online, please contact info@philosophywellness.ca for assistance.

  • Once you’ve paid for your appointment, you will receive an updated copy of your electronic invoice showing that it has been paid in full. This invoice can be submitted to your insurance company for reimbursement. Nutrition Services are covered under Registered Dietitian while bodywork is covered under Registered Massage Therapy.

If you do not have private insurance coverage, you can save your Registered Dietitian receipts to submit as a medical claim with your annual taxes. Registered Dietitians are categorized as authorized medical practitioners in the province of Alberta.

  • We are able to direct bill to most insurance companies for Registered Massage Therapy and a few insurance companies for Registered Dietitian.

It is your responsibility to verify that your insurance company allows direct billing for your appointment, otherwise out-of-pocket payment will be required.
