Peel + Heal: My Go-To At-Home Treatment for Glowing, Hydrated Skin

If your skin has been feeling tight, flaky, or just dull lately, especially in our dry Alberta climate, the Tuel Peel + Heal Mini Kit might be exactly what you need. It’s one of my favourite ways to get spa-quality results at home — gently exfoliating while deeply hydrating and soothing the skin at the same time.

Why I Love It for Alberta Weather

Our dry air, cold winters, and constant indoor heating can strip moisture from the skin and slow down natural cell turnover. That’s why a kit like this works so beautifully here — it removes buildup from the surface and floods your skin with hydration and calming botanicals right after.

So instead of harsh peeling or dryness, you get renewed, radiant skin that still feels soft and balanced.

What’s Inside

The Peel + Heal Mini Kit comes with four key steps that work together like a mini facial:

  1. Power Scrub Ultra Fine Polishing Paste
Gently buffs away dead skin cells with superfine pumice and diatomaceous earth. Tea tree, lemongrass, and chamomile calm the skin while keeping pores clear.

  2. Power Peel Refining Glycolic Acid Gel
The hero step. This 10% glycolic acid formula loosens old, dull skin cells and encourages renewal — but it’s buffered with aloe and glycerin so it stays comfortable, even for drier skin.

  3. Hydrate Super Moisture Serum
A powerful boost of hydration with two types of hyaluronic acid, sodium PCA, and green tea extract. This instantly restores moisture and helps the skin hold onto it.

  4. Super Soothe 2-in-1 Calming Mask
The “heal” in Peel + Heal. This lightweight leave-on mask calms redness, strengthens the skin barrier, and locks in moisture overnight. You don’t rinse it off — just let it absorb as you sleep or carry on with your day.

How to Use It: Your At-Home Facial Routine

Once a week (or every other week if you’re more sensitive):

  1. Cleanse your face thoroughly and pat dry.

  2. Apply a small amount of Power Scrub to damp skin, massage gently for about 30 seconds, and rinse well.

  3. Pat your face dry and apply Power Peel evenly over the skin. You might feel a mild tingle — that’s normal. Let it dry completely.

  4. Follow with Hydrate Super Moisture Serum. Press it into your skin to help it absorb.

  5. Finish with the Super Soothe Mask — and here’s the best part — do not rinse it off. Let it soak in overnight so your skin can drink up all that hydration while you rest.

By morning, you’ll wake up with skin that feels fresh, smooth, and calm.

When to Use It

Pick one night each week (I like Sundays!) as your “skin reset night.” Avoid using other exfoliants or retinoids that day — this treatment gives your skin all the renewal it needs.

If your skin is very dry or sensitive, start every two weeks and adjust as it adapts.

Why It Works

The magic of this kit is balance. You’re exfoliating with glycolic acid, but immediately replenishing with hyaluronic acid, glycerin, and calming botanicals like chamomile and white tea. That means you get the brightening and smoothing effects without compromising your moisture barrier.

In our climate, that balance matters. Dry, over-exfoliated skin can’t glow — hydrated, supported skin can.

My Tip

Keep this kit on hand during our driest months (November to March). Use it weekly for a gentle refresh, and always follow with SPF in the morning. It’s a simple way to maintain healthy, radiant skin even when Alberta’s weather isn’t cooperating.
