Controlled articular Rotation [CARs] Class
In this class, you will learn the importance of healthy joint mobility and movement in your daily life. We will teach you how to perform Controlled Articular Rotations (CAR’s) which, when completed regularly, will give you the opportunity to assess your own movement limitations and expand upon your current ranges of motion.
The main reason people lose range of motion throughout their life is not because they are getting old, but rather because they don't use that range for a long period of time. By performing rotational movements near the end ranges of each joint, we can activate the mechanoreceptors in the joint allowing the body to maintain these ranges as we age.
Advanced Mobility Class
This class is specifically designed to help you increase the range of motion at each of your joints while also building strength and control within that newly acquired range.
Increased strength and control within a particular range of motion will not only help you move better in every day sports and activities, but is essential to long term, sustainable joint health.
Using the Functional Range Conditioning (FRC) principles, we always begin the class with Controlled Articular Rotations (CARs), then, we perform a select series of mobility exercises to condition your joints and soft tissues so they are prepared to handle everyday and sport specific loads.
This class is perfect for active individuals or athletes who want to increase their movement capacity, movement capability, strength, and performance, all while creating a foundation that will help to mitigate injury.
